Dru Yoga is often called 'yoga of the heart'. In a Dru Yoga class you will find traditional yoga poses or asana, breath work, which is also known as pranayama, and wonderfully revitalising relaxations. You will also find that classes show you how to prepare your body and warm up for poses, as well as shift your mindset to enhance both mental and emotional wellbeing.
Each class includes a gentle ‘energy block release’ which is a sequence of carefully designed movements that work systematically through the body to release tension and clear energy blockages.
Whether you are a seasoned yogi, returning to yoga after a break, or joining a yoga class for the first time, you will find that the classes work for most abilities. Rather than chasing the ‘perfect’ look, we lean into the awareness that our bodies can feel different from day to day. Our abilities, our energy, our flexibility can change. Dru Yoga meets you where you are.
What do I bring to the yoga class?
You need only to bring along a mat and a bottle of water to class.
Wear clothes that are stretchy and comfortable clothes and feel free to also bring a light blanket to stay cosy for the relaxation at the end of the class.
Optional - you might like to bring a small rolled towel or a pillow for support if you experience knee pain or joint discomfort.
