About Angela

Hi, I’m Angela,

I’m a Dru Yoga teacher with a passion for gentle, mental health aware yoga. I’ve lived in Baulkham Hills for over 20 years, and as a mum and Occupational Therapist, I love creating a space where people can slow down, move mindfully and feel at ease.

I offer friendly, welcoming yoga classes with soft flowing movement, breathwork and deeply nurturing relaxation. My classes are suitable for all ages and abilities, and I especially enjoy helping people discover that yes, they can do yoga, even if they’ve never tried it before.

Dru Yoga is often known as the ‘yoga of the heart’. It’s less about perfect poses and more about moving with awareness, and finding a sense of balance and ease in everyday life.

Outside of yoga, I love a good cup of chai and pottering in my vegie patch, usually trying to grow vegetables before our resident possum finds them first.

I’ve spent more than 30 years working as an Occupational Therapist, with much of my career in mental health and aged care. I returned to yoga over 10 years ago, during a time when life felt full and demanding. I was balancing a busy career, parenting, and supporting ageing parents-in-law who lived nearby.

While this was a meaningful time, I became aware that I needed something to support my own wellbeing. My body felt tight and tired from long hours at a desk, and my mind was often busy and restless. I was craving calm, space and a way to reconnect.

Yoga, and especially my weekly Dru Yoga practice, became that support. It offered a gentle and accessible way to move, breathe and reset. I still remember leaving my first class feeling calm, grounded and quietly restored. I was surprised by how powerful something so gentle could be, and I was hooked from that moment.

Since then, yoga has remained an important part of my life. I went on to complete my Dru Yoga teacher training, and I now feel deeply grateful and inspired to share this practice with others.

If you’re looking for a gentle, supportive way to move and unwind, you are very welcome to join us.
