What is Dru Yoga?

It’s a question I’m often asked - what exactly is Dru Yoga?

Dru Yoga is a gentle yet powerful form of yoga that blends ancient yogic wisdom with modern science to support health, balance and emotional wellbeing. It’s known for being one of the most adaptable and accessible styles of yoga, suitable for every body, at any age or fitness level. Whether you’re brand new to yoga or have been practising for years, Dru meets you exactly where you are.

What makes Dru Yoga so special is its deeply therapeutic approach. Each class is designed to help your body find its natural rhythm of healing and restore harmony on every level; physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. You’ll find familiar yoga postures (known as asanas), gentle flowing movements, breathwork (pranayama), meditation and a nurturing deep relaxation at the close of each session.

A signature feature of Dru Yoga is its Energy Block Release sequences. These are unique combinations of soft, flowing movements that help ease tension from the body and release stuck energy. As you move through the sequences, you’ll notice your joints loosening, your muscles softening and your energy beginning to flow more freely, leaving you with a wonderful sense of lightness and calm.
